Active Directory is the most used directory server among the companies. All the users, all the computers that are part of the company require Active Directory to authenticate and are able to complete their jobs. What happens if a server hosting Active directory fails? I don’t think that is good. That means that users and […]
Having a reliable backup is essential to every business. You may think that your backup is bulletproof when you receive the email notification saying backup is complete without errors. But what happens when a disaster strikes and your backup is not able to restore your data? I would hate to be in that person position. Imagine the […]
Companies love cloud as it can help save them money. It’s easy to provision a server and you don’t have to buy your own infrastructure at once. But while the price is ok, I still don’t see a massive migration to the cloud. I guess that requires time. Currently, the trend is in a so-called […]

Regardless of how great […]
I have been thinking about Nakivo a lot for the past week. I mean, this guys are pretty amazing. When they launched their first B&R version, they dared to use a web-based interface. They soon caught up with competition on a feature per feature level and with version 6, improved Synology support and added support for […]
Followers of my blog know that I love Synology NAS devices. I still remember the excitement when Nakivo released version 5.8. I mean, I liked regular useful updates in every version but what made version 5.8 so special was integration with WD NAS. There are so many scenarios and situations when backup and NAS integration comes really handy.
I think there are only a handful of backup products that deserve a 5 star rating. When any of this companies releases a new version, in my heart, it deserves a quick review of the features. Usually we are talking about evolution, improving on already solid base. Nakivo is one of those companies.
